I hate that phrase.
If you intentionally abstained from voting you ignored your peers explicitly asking for your opinion. This means we don’t want to keep hearing complaints from you in the future, because you obviously don’t care enough to make a change.
If you ignore injustice in any form, you’re silently consenting and just as damnable as the perpetrators.
The Bible seems to both promote and condemn standing against governing authorities dispensing injustice. What is a faithful follower of God to do?
Laws exist to protect the general welfare of the people, not to enable unjust discrimination based on race, sex, religion, or socio-economic status. Seeing laws in the books that protect the interest of corporations over individuals irritates me to no end.
