The Death of Sponsored Content

Once upon a time, I published sponsored content on this site. Now, one of those sponsors has been notified by Google that my article appears to be part of a “link scheme” and has asked me to remove any links to their sites. I find Google flagging my article in such a way troubling, since that’s not what the article or my intention behind it were at all.
